Midday Oasis provides a breathing space for students, staff, and the community to refresh and refuel themselves with beautiful music at Chung Chi College Chapel on Mondays. On February 24, The Phoenix Quartet [Miyaka Suzuki Wilson# (Guest Violin), Damara Lomdaridze# (Viola), Shelagh Heath (Cello) & Jacqueline Leung (Piano)], is devoted to performing piano quartets by female composers to audience. The ensemble will perform the Piano Quartet in d minor, Op. 25 by Dora Pejačević, the first woman in Croatia to compose orchestral pieces. After the Reading Week of the University, Wun Wai Ki (Clarinet) & Alexander Wong (Piano) will bring you an all-French program on March 10. The duo will play Louis Cahuzac’s Cantilène & Arlequin, Debussy’s Première rhapsodie, and Philippe Gaubert’s Fantasie.
