More fine music coming up at Midday Oasis! On October 6, Marco Leung (Flute) & William Fu (Piano), alumni of the Department of Music, will perform music in the Romantic style. Program includes Gaubert’s Nocturne et allegro scherzando, Tchaikovsky’s ‘Lensky’s Aria’ from opera Eugene Onegin, and movements from Edwin York Bowen ( "The English Rachmaninoff" )’s Sonata for Flute & Piano, Op.120. On October 13, John Young (Clarinet), Adrian Tsui (Cello) & Oscar Wong (Piano) will bring you Beethoven’s Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11 "Gassenhauer". Listen for the famous “popular song” (from Wiegl’s opera L’amor marinaro) which Beethoven skillfully crafts into a set of variations in the third movement!
