Service-Learning Programme (2023/24 Term 2)

Student-initiated Project

Brief Introduction

The concept of serving others through social service is widely spread. Nowadays, many students actively participate in various service programmes to achieve different learning purposes through the experience.  Through this course (GECC3230S), students can transform the service experience into different learning elements through critical reflection.  Selected students will be assigned to a group. The student group will meet with the course instructor six times (3 hours each).  Through oral presentation and group discussion, it is expected that reflection and learning on the service experience and deep discussion on social topics could be achieved.  Each student is required to submit three reflective journals.
