CUHK Innovation Day is an annual event that showcases ground-breaking research, innovative projects, and the latest advancements of our academics and students. This event brings together government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, research and innovation stakeholders, and the CUHK community to create synergy, explore collaborative opportunities, and establish partnerships.

In view of the global focus on artificial intelligence and its transformative impact across industries, the theme of this year’s event is “AI Empowerment.” Kindly see below for more details and the programme rundown for your information.

Event Details

Programme Highlights:

• Kick-off Ceremony: We are honoured to have Dr Bernard Pak-li CHAN, JP, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, HKSAR, and Prof Isabella Wai-yin POON, JP, Provost, CUHK officiating the kick-off ceremony.

• Thematic Talk: Policymaker Mr Hendrick SIN, MH, JP , CUHK scholar Prof Helen MENG, and distinguished industry leaders from Aerospace Daway Technologies Co., Ltd. and FanRuan Software Co., Ltd. (HK) at the forefront of AI innovation will deliver fresh and insightful presentations on the theme of “AI Empowerment”.

• Panel Discussion: CUHK scholars and industrial leaders will share their expertise and insights on AI Empowerment: Bridging Innovation, Education, and Industry for Societal Impact.

• Live Broadcast WeChat Exhibition Tour: From 12:15 to 14:00, a live guided tour will feature interviews with 23 CUHK startups showcasing their AI innovations and technological achievements.

• Team Sharing: CUHK scholars working on AI-related projects will present their research and experiences.

• Exhibition: Booths and display boards will showcase CUHK’s InnoHK Centres, RAISe+ Projects, and outstanding startup initiatives led by our academics to highlighting CUHK’s research excellence and impact.
