3. The Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship 2026


Application Deadline: September 14, 2025 (Sunday) [Extended]

 

This Scholarship is EXCLUSIVELY offered to CUHK final-year students or graduates of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The scholar will be FULLY sponsored for a maximum of 3 years to read for a postgraduate degree or a second bachelor's degree at the University of Oxford, U.K. commencing October 2026.

 

Value of the Scholarship

One Scholarship for two to three years will be awarded. The Scholarship covers Oxford’s course fees, personal allowance, and a return economy class airfare between Hong Kong and London.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be either final-year students in the academic year 2025/26 including both undergraduates and postgraduates of degree programmes, or graduates holding degrees awarded by CUHK.
  • Candidates must be aged 24 or below on 1 October 2026.
  • Successful candidates must have outstanding academic records and have a respect for humanity, a curious mind, moral integrity and a spirit of adventure and reveal the potential to make a contribution to the well-being of the community.

  1. Details of the Scholarship and its application form are obtainable from the website of Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (OAFA) at http://admission.cuhk.edu.hk/ (Fees and Financing Your Studies → Scholarships → Open for Applications → Scholarships for Overseas Studies).
  2. Applicants should read the “Memorandum” and “Checklist of Supporting Documents” carefully and follow strictly.
  3. Completed application form together with ALL the requisite documents should be submitted online, unless otherwise specified, not later than 14 September 2025 (Hong Kong time). Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

4. The Rhodes Scholarship for Hong Kong SAR 2026


Application Deadline: September 30, 2025 (Tuesday)

 

The Rhodes Scholarship, the oldest international scholarship programme, is a fully funded, full time, postgraduate award which enables talented young people from around the world to study at the University of Oxford.

 

Number of Award

There is one Rhodes Scholarship available for Hong Kong SAR.

 

Coverage of the Scholarship

Rhodes Scholars are expected to study at Oxford for two years. A third year of full Scholarship is available for those who choose to read for the DPhil (PhD), subject to conditions. A Rhodes Scholarship covers course fees at Oxford, an annual stipend, two economy class flights (to and from UK) for the beginning and end of studies in Oxford, etc.

 

Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil all the eligibility criteria for the 2026 Rhodes Scholarship through the Hong Kong SAR constituency as specified in the “Information for Candidates” which is obtainable at the page specific to Hong Kong SAR at Rhodes Trust website (http://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/scholarships/applications/hong-kong/).

5. TERMS AMENDMENT NOTICE FOR

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS, PRIZES, AND FINANCIAL AID


Date: June 5, 2025 

 

In accordance with the resolution passed by the Finance Committee of the Chung Chi College Board of Trustees, please be informed of the following amendments to the current Terms of Reference for College Scholarships, Awards, Prizes, and Financial Aid. These changes are made to ensure the sustainability of our financial support programs considering current economic conditions: 

 

Key Amendments

  1. Effective from the academic year 2024/2025, the College will no longer guarantee returns or cover any shortfalls for the funds.  
  2. In the event that the interest generated by the funds is insufficient to sustain the award amount, the principal will also be used to finance the award until the fund is exhausted.

 

Effective Date

These amendments will take effect on 30 August 2025.
