Become The First Famous HK Science YouTuber (pending for completion)

TSE Shing Him | Physics | Year 2

I believe that everyone is born to be interested in science and be curious about the world. However, it seems that Hong Kong doesn't have a famous science YouTube that can arouse their interest. I would like to share the joy of science and curiosity with Hong Kong citizens. By building a YouTube channel, I can share my questions and some unexpected fun facts of science with other people. I think I will gain a lot of fun from it and so do my audience. You are welcome to like, subscribe and leave a comment to support my channel!

Coffee Research Club | 2022-2023

Cheng Hoi Leng | IBBA | Year 4

As I approached the end of my four-year university career, a bold idea suddenly came to mind: to create a space for coffee enthusiasts at my university and thus establish the first coffee culture research institute. I took on the entire preparation process from scratch, and although it was difficult, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found that coffee could serve as a medium to connect with different people at my university and share more coffee knowledge with them, giving them a new interest and hobby.  I am grateful to Chung Chi College for providing a dream development platform, allowing each Chung Chi student to realize their dreams. This is also the starting point for the Coffee Research Club, and I plan to continue organizing a series of coffee-related activities in the future. We will meet again in the future - to be continued.

Gender Mainstreaming in Public Space Advocacy | 2021-2022

TANG Wai Yan | URSPN | Year 4

The concepts of gender mainstreaming and feminism have been a controversial discipline in Hong Kong, not to mention that this project takes the initiative to confront traditional gender norms. As a young woman, I did experience fear, inconvenience, and constraints in some urban environments; this made me insist on holding a physical advocacy exhibition. I have received countless support and recognition from visitors and guests from diverse backgrounds across different ages, gender, and class, which was unexpected, and I am thankful for that. Visitors also challenged me, enriching the diversity of content through intelligent and civilized debates. Mainstreaming gender perspective in a certain way is controversial and debatable. Still, its nature at the same time provides flexibility that will allow room for negotiation and the potential to flourish from another perspective.

Cantopop with Me | 2021-2022

Ng Wang Fung | Social Work | Year 4

Chan Yi Lok Ronald | Social Work | Year1

It is my pleasure to receive the recognition from Dream Through Chung Chi program. Starting the presentation day, the board has given me valuable comments and support. Not to mention the administrative staff from the college offered great help in applying for Yasumoto International Academic Park, which is one the busiest buildings in CUHK as the exhibition venue. “Cantopop with me” is proud to be a platform for the local photographer and the artist to share their piece with the theme of Cantopop music. Also, it is glad to receive posts from the audience which are about their favorite songs and the stories behind them.

University Simulations | 2021-2022

Choi Chun Hei | Government and Public Administration | Year 2

Chung Wan Man | Social Science | Year 1

We are relieved and satisfied to witness University Simulations come to an end after months of preparation. The process was not a smooth and easy path, we encountered many unexpected problems such as under-enrollment, delays in printing products, and bad weather on the event day. The event’s closing signifies that all problems are solved, and our efforts are not in vain. We are satisfied, for we saw how enthusiastically devoted students were on the event day. They were focused in lectures, proactive in asking questions, and enjoying our “Simply Ulife” game. University Simulations can perform their intended purpose –aid students in exploring and pursuing their interests, to have goals and expectations for the future.

SOAPrecious: Handmade Soap Social Enterprise Scheme | 2021-2022
Siu Lok Hei | Psychology | Year 4
Despite the twists and turns, this handmade soap social enterprise scheme is also full of surprises. In learning soap-making from zero, it is inevitable to be frustrated while practicing and organizing workshops, especially during the pandemic. Yet, the sense of accomplishment and fulfilment gained in this journey is worthy. Parents, students, and the public are all attracted by the scent and color of handmade soap. Handmade stuff and art can bring pure healing and fulfilment to people. Hence, handmade soap and other forms of art can be a great carrier of social impact, acting as a bridge to connect different communities.

Re:member Concept Album | 2020-2021

Chow Wing Yin, Wynne | Music | Year 2

Lee Pok Man | Music | Year 4

It is a great experience to make an album from O… We are grateful that Chung Chi College provides us with enough resources to make it happen. We cannot learn the knowledge of making an album during lessons. The process likes an experiment, it is trial and error. From the beginning concept, until we compose and record, and publish the songs. The whole process is full of challenges and difficulties, but extremely rewarding in the end. The publication reminds us of the beauty of creation, an essential part of human beings. The program also firms our will to be a musician. We made music with the knowledge we gained and became experienced producers. Our journey is just beginning…
