Collaborating with the University of Oxford, the team led by Professor Chan Ho Yin Edwin, Professor in the School of Life Sciences, recently uncovered a novel molecular mechanism that leads to the pathogenesis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The research findings have been published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature Communications. This work was also awarded the Oral Poster Presentation Award – Basic Science First Prize at The Pan-Asian Consortium for Treatment and Research in ALS (PACTALS) 2023 Congress.
